Our Community Needs You to Connect!
You're invited to join members of the community from local churches and other organizations in a Day of Action to our community. Volunteers will make improvements to Meadow Park Middle School and engage neighbors in a variety of acts of service and kindness. Check out opportunities below and then simply show up on Sunday April 12th!Schedule
- 8:30 AM - Brief Gathering at Westside United Methodist Church (Map here)
- 9 AM - 12:30 PM - Projects at Meadow Park Middle School and around town (see below)
- 12:30 PM - Free Lunch for All VolunteersMeadow Park
- Pour cement for a secure bike rack area
- Touch-up paint indoor paint around campus
- Weed and plant flowers in front entryway
- Grounds weeding and cleanup
- Cafeteria painting
- Cleaning and hanging flags in the cafeteria
Simple Acts of Kindness and Service
- Create and deliver sack lunches for homeless people in Portland (lunches made at Cedar Hills Baptist)
- Homemade baked brownies, cupcakes and cookies for local Police & Fire Department, DMV, and workers at a local strip-club ("strippers" need to know their valuable and loved individuals!)
- Slices of pizza handed out to anyone who looks hungry at nearby MAX stops, bus stops, etc.
- Small starter flower pots delivered to household doorsteps in Cedar Hills.
Here at Cedar Hills Hospital we received a plate of homemade cookies! We are so thankful and appreciative. Thank you for sharing and for your kind hearts!
