Our Community Needs You to Connect!

You're invited to join members of the community from local churches and other organizations in a Day of Action to our community.  Volunteers will make improvements to Meadow Park Middle School and engage neighbors in a variety of acts of service and kindness.  Check out opportunities below and then simply show up on Sunday April 12th!

Schedule
  • 8:30 AM - Brief Gathering at Westside United Methodist Church (Map here)
  • 9 AM - 12:30 PM - Projects at Meadow Park Middle School and around town (see below)
  • 12:30 PM - Free Lunch for All VolunteersMeadow Park 
Middle School Projects
  • Pour cement for a secure bike rack area
  • Touch-up paint indoor paint around campus
  • Weed and plant flowers in front entryway
  • Grounds weeding and cleanup
  • Cafeteria painting
  • Cleaning and hanging flags in the cafeteria

Simple Acts of Kindness and Service
  • Create and deliver sack lunches for homeless people in Portland (lunches made at Cedar Hills Baptist)
  • Homemade baked brownies, cupcakes and cookies for local Police & Fire Department, DMV, and workers at a local strip-club ("strippers" need to know their valuable and loved individuals!)
  • Slices of pizza handed out to anyone who looks hungry at nearby MAX stops, bus stops, etc.
  • Small starter flower pots delivered to household doorsteps in Cedar Hills.
